Jobing Description

Position Purpose
Completes payments and provides effective controls of expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Provides instructions and accounting support to other personnel in accordance with established practices.



  1. Responsible for Accounts Payable cycle:


  1. Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with company policy;


  1. Enter accounts payable invoices in accounting software;


  1. Prepare automated journal entry uploads and allocations;


  1. Maintain all W-9 and 1099 information;


  1. Process 1099 year end forms and reports;


  1. Research unpaid invoices, credit memos;


  1. Develop a system to identify large missing invoice;


  1. Process travel reimbursement requests;


  1. Process patient refunds;


  1. Process and remit accounts payable checks and electronic funds transfers, including replacement checks; and


  1. Respond to vendor inquiries.


  1. Other Responsibilities:


  1. Reconcile all liability accounts on a monthly basis;


  1. Maintain sales tax exemption;


  1. Prepare property tax info and submit on time to proper authorities; and


  1. Reconcile quarterly 941s to general ledger.


  1. Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.


  1. Assist with audit preparation and information gathering for annual reports. (990, Medicare Cost Report, etc.).


  1. Perform other duties as assigned.

Associate’s Degree required.

Extensive experience in ledger accounting and finance reporting required.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.



Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
