AT Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH) is seeking a full-time specialty dentist to join the clinical faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor. ASDOH is dedicated to educating caring, technically adept dentists who become community and education leaders serving those in need.

This clinical faculty member will have responsibilities in teaching, research, service and direct patient care, with a focus on clinical dental education in support of the mission, goals and objectives of the School and University. This position will report to the Director, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This position will facilitate the predoctoral students’ preclinical and clinical experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from foundational knowledge to demonstrating competency in patient-centered care that integrates biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences. The position works collaboratively with general dental and specialty faculty in ASDOH’s Comprehensive Care Units and Advanced Care Clinic to provide an appropriate balance of patient-centered care and learner-centered clinical education. Other key expectations include a commitment to diversity, social justice, and maintaining an atmosphere of respect, collegiality and professionalism.

Position Requirements and Preferences:

  • Education: Completion of an advanced education program in OMFS from an institution accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA); Board Eligible / Board Certified in OMFS.
  • Experience: At least five years’ experience in clinical oral surgery practice (time in advanced graduate training in oral surgeon may be included).
  • Preferences: Eligibility for dental licensure in Arizona; DDS or DMD from a CODA accredited program; experience in academics, clinical research and private clinical practice
