Work Schedule: Varied Days and Hours
Performs health screens, specific to infectious diseases, to entrants at LCMC facilities when indicated.
*Greet people as they enter facility and perform necessary health screening. Involves asking medical or health-related questions (from a script) ,taking temperatures and then following an algorhythm to direct visitor to appropriate location.
*Escalates positive screens (people with fever or symptoms) to appropriate medical or nursing personnel
*Operates thermal screening or other selected technology solutions once trained
*Manages patient, visitor and/or employee flow in assigned screening area
*Ensures people are wearing masks as needed.
* Maintains cleanliness of entry and waiting areas as needed.
*Monitor number of people entering facility in accordance with Presbyterian policies and guidance.
*Rounds on patients and families frequently to assess and address personal needs, concerns or comfort related issues. Reports information to responsible nurse for resolution when necessary.
*Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in person as needed with people entering the facility. Following training, demonstrates ability to de-escalate potentially tense situations and/or escalates issues as directed
*Performs functions with patient safety and patient experience top of mind; creates a welcoming environment
*Performs other functions as required.
* High School Diploma or GED
