Position Summary

The University of New Mexico ("UNM") School of Law invites applications for faculty positions starting in the Fall of 2019. The law school anticipates hiring a tenured or tenure-track faculty member, to teach Oil and Gas Law and other related courses. Both experienced and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Offering a J.D. degree, the UNM School of Law is nationally recognized for innovative classes that combine law practice skills training with doctrinal instruction and a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Our faculty is one of the most ethnically and racially diverse faculties in the country, and our student body is similarly diverse. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess a J.D. or equivalent legal degree.

Preferred Qualification:

  • A record of demonstrated excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching.
  • A record of demonstrated excellence or the promise of excellence in academic scholarship.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
